Collage Painting of Rabbit: Mixed Media Art with Owl (6x12)

This whimsical rabbit is dressed in a suit and tie and ready for any occasion. To bring him to life, I began with hand-painted papers, which I layered with scraps of ephemera—old book pages, bits of magazines. Along the edges of his scene, you'll see the words Home and Away, as he travels far and wide. The collage wraps around the edges of the paintings for a finished look.

Medium: Mixed media on wood

Details: Matte finish. Fitted with a sawtooth hanger, the piece is signed and dated.

MY ARTIST STATEMENT—Painting is a daily ritual for me, as I continue to discover ways to express myself through art.
