Collage Painting of Spotted Dog: Mixed Media Art with Dog (6x12)

This spotted dog is such a good pup, with his snazzy collar and tag, and his one ear tuned to your voice. To bring him to life, I began with hand-painted papers, which I layered with scraps of ephemera—old book pages, bits of magazines. He know for sure that "Now is the time to start listening," some wisdom you'll spot in the upper left-hand corner. The collage wraps around the edges of the paintings for a finished look, but you may wish to frame it.

Medium: Mixed media on wood

Details: Matte finish. Fitted with a sawtooth hanger, the piece is signed and dated.
