Collage Painting of Brown Bear: Mixed Media Art with Bear (6x12)

This brown bear has been caught in the act. Really he's just standing in the woods minding his own business, but he's let you catch a glimpse before running away. (you first or him, it's hard to say) I began with hand-painted papers, which I layered with scraps of ephemera—old book pages, bits of magazines. The collage wraps around the edges of the paintings for a finished look, but you may wish to frame it.

Medium: Mixed media on wood

Details: Matte finish. Fitted with a sawtooth hanger, the piece is signed and dated.
