In this original abstract painting, a rosy landscape takes shape with pinks and reds surrounding turquoise pools. In one of the pools, an excerpt of Gerard Manley Hopkins’ poem “Heaven-Haven” is inscribed:

The poem describes a haven where he has desired to be. The excerpt reads:

Where no storms come,
Where the green swell is in the havens dumb,
And out of the swing of the sea.
